Water Tank Monotype

Water Tank
Original Monotype print  on  Rives heavyweight Paper
2012, image is 10x8"
Edition of 1

This is an original, one of a kind monotype print of a water tank at the Russell Industrial Complex. It is printed with Faust black oil based etching ink on white Rives paper.

My monotype prints are made by inking a plexiglass plate with a roller, then drawing into it and wiping off some of the ink to leave a design. Damp paper is then place on the plate and this is put through the press. The ink is transferred from the plate to the paper, so only one print can be made. The remaining image can be used as a base for another similar image as was this one.
This print is presented in a board backed clear protective sleeve and packed carefully in a padded envelope with extra card for strength.
It is unmounted and unframed. It is numbered 1/1 signed and dated

  1. The plastic tanks or polymer coated tanks has a capacity to store almost everything except some harsh acids. But stainless steel tanks are considered the best to store any edible items or elements. Stainless steel offers great safety with much required hygiene to all the food and water storage.
